The ACEF 2008 or Accountancy: Career & Education Fair which was organized by MIA (Malaysian Institute of Accountants) on 26th & 27th of July 2008 at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre. This exhibition is a new initiative by MIA to increase awareness and promote the accountancy profession. (of course!)
Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, under Faculty of Economics and Business was one of the exhibitors invited by the MIA to promote the accountancy profession (and also other courses offered by the faculty).
The two day events was fulfilled with talks on how to be an accountant, how the profession as an accountant, practicing accountancy, the opportunities in accountancy and etc. The exhibitors are from MIA itself, ACCA, BDO Binder, MICPA, CIMA (most of them are from firms and professional bodies) and some universities from the oversea (which promotes accounting) and also around Malaysia (UM, UiTM, USM, etc.)
